Day 5
Ken Argood, a farrier from Argood Farriers, highlighted his practice. Ken brought along one of his Clydesdales for demonstration and an opportunity for precocious petting by campers. He discussed the pros and cons of his occupation and the importance of animal care.
Every day at camp presented the opportunity to cheerfully weed, look for beneficial insects and pests, and manage their garden area, as well as turn the compost and taste any of the harvest that may have come to fruition. The joy of being at the park is the benefit of heading out on a hike and enjoying the natural beauty of the environment of the woods, prairie, and lake.
